Statement from FSPA President Rick Reed

"Many people, including journalists in Michigan continue to raise questions about the party at the Manoogian Mansion...the party Attorney General Mike Cox said never took place. As made clear in FSPA's most recent radio spot, the Attorney General's position is in stark contrast to that of Sandy Cardenas, a former Detroit Police officer, who dispatched police to the scene that night. Why does Mike Cox say it never took place? And, moreover, why did he stop investigating after only 30 days; how did the dispatch tapes disappear by the next morning, and why did he refuse to issue subpoenas requested by the Michigan State Police who were investigating?

As the state's top law enforcement official, Mike Cox needs to answer these questions.

FSPA has no ties to any candidate, or any candidate's campaign, running for Governor of Michigan. Pure and simple."
